Web Site suspended again

I was away in Jakarta, Indonesia for two Internet marketing workshops. Internet marketing is something that is new in this part of the world. Met some nice Indonesians and will make a return trip at the end of this month.

Just discovered that one of my web site had been suspended. Looks like hosting companies will shut us down with any complaints that they receive, regardless whether these complaints are baseless. In fact anyone can make a SPAM accusation and your site will be shut down without any notice. I think that it will be a good idea to look seriously at RSS and Desktop communication system.

Web Site Shut Down

Had a horrible week. Sent email to my list informing them to try out my new Conference Room. Found out that my web site, http://www.extimm.com was shut down because of SPAM complaints from some of my subscribers. Had to provide information to my hosting company to prove that I do not SPAM and that I did not purchase the list. Fortunately my site was reinstated. I was told to purge all AOL email address from my lists. As a result I lost a few thousand subscribers. I think that there are many people online who will complain for the sake of getting attention. This is one of the problem that 'genuine' Internet marketers face everyday. It just need one such person to create the problem.

Follow Up on the E-Course

Writing down your thought is very important. As a result of my previous post I had spent the last 2 days writing the e-course. I have now completed lesson 11.

Actually I started on the project a few months earlier but left it to pursue my other project, 'My Discount Vault'. I just completed the ebook, 'My Discount Vault' about a week ago and now have more time to continue with the e-course project.

Looks like the e-course project will definately be ready before 3oth June 2005. Writing the content of the e-course is one side to it. I will also need to prepare some video tutorials for it.

If anyone has a suggestion for the name of the project please let me know. Who knows I may offer you to review the e-course when completed.

At the moment I am giving seminar on the subject of Internet marketing. This is a 3 days seminar and is held in Malaysia. Go here to find out more:

Idea for an E-Course

I am thinking of starting on a new project invloving with an e-class on 'How to get started on Internet marketing'. The weekly lessons will consist of topic to assist an Internet newbie to get started on having a cyber presence. This will include:

1. What are the various ways of making money on the Internet.
2. How to set up to have a web presence.
3. The basics of downloading files, unzipping files, creating a folders, etc.
4. Creating a simple web site.
5. How to FTP.
6. Copywriting.
7. Others.

This package will come with weekly lessons via PDF, video tutorials, and weekly hot conference calls.

I'm hoping to complete this project by 30th June 2005.

Ali Hafed was a farmer from Africa, who was happy and contented. One day a priest came to visit him and told him about the glory of diamonds and the power that goes along with having them. The next morning, he sold off his farm, left his family with his neighbor, and set off to search for diamonds. He traveled all over Africa, but could not find any. He looked all over Europe and couldn’t find any. Finally, he became emotionally, physically and financially broke and decided to take his own life by throwing himself into the river.Back home, the person who had bought his farm was watering the camels at a stream that ran through the farm. He suddenly saw a curious flash of light from the white sands of the shallow stream. Reaching into the water, he pulled out a rough stone that sparkled like the colors of the rainbow. Finding the stone interesting, he took it back to his house and placed it as a decoration piece in his living room. One day the priest came to visit, and saw the sparkling stone. He exclaimed, “Here is a diamond! Is Hafed back?” The man replied, “No, no, Hafed has not returned, and that is not a diamond. It is only a stone I found right here in the garden.” When the priest heard this, he declared, “I know a diamond when I see one.” Together they rushed out to the garden stream and began searching. To their amazement, there came up other more beautiful and valuable stones than the first. Thus, was discovered the largest diamond mine in the world.

The Secret of Success

There was once a boy who wanted to seek the secret of success. One day he approached a wise man living up in the mountain. When he found the wise man at the hut, he asked, “Wise man, can you tell me the secret to becoming successful in life?” The wise man was silent for a while. After a moment of silence, the wise man led the young lad to a nearby river. They kept walking into the river until the boy’s head was fully submerged in the water. The boy struggled to keep his head above the water. To his astonishment, the wise man did not help him. Instead, the wise man held the boy’s head in the water. After a few minutes the wise man pulled the boy out of the water and they proceeded to walk back to the hut. At the hut the wise man asked the young boy what he desired most when his head was submerged in water.
